  • CPCPI COMMITTEE MEMBERS

CPCPI (Cooperation with the Professional Community and Public Information) Committee – Committee Members and Volunteers

Meets monthly, second Tuesday of each month 6:00-7:30PM.

The purpose of Public Information (PI) service work is to provide accurate A.A. information to the public when requested. PI committees visit schools, businesses and community meetings for this purpose. They also serve as resources for our friends in the local media, emphasizing our Traditions of anonymity, singleness of purpose and non-affiliation, as well as offering A.A.

public service announcements to radio and television stations.

With respect to Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC), members of these committees provide information about A.A. to those who have contact with alcoholics through their profession. This group includes healthcare, E.A.P. and H.R. professionals; educators; members of the clergy; lawyers; social workers; military professionals; government officials; and those working in the field of alcoholism. Information is provided about where we are, what we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do.

General members for the St. John’s CPCPI Committee or volunteers for speaking events, health fairs, etc. are always needed. If interested in learning more please contact Boyd B at boydbragg@nf.sympatico.ca

•             Track all incoming funds and outgoing expenditures.

•             Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports.

•             Prepare cheques.

•             This position does not require that the volunteer interface directly with public, if they do not wish to do so.

•             Prepare agenda and minutes for monthly meetings.

•             Prepare monthly reports for Intergroup and District.

•             Monitor email account and respond as/if required.

•             Prepare letters as/if required.

•             This position does not require that the volunteer interface directly with public, if they do not wish to do so.

•             Delegate and assign items to committee members as needed.

•             This position has responsibilities that require direct interface with the public and professional community, therefore remaining anonymous is not possible.
